The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Affairs Council announced the start of collecting donations for ‘The UAE stands with Lebanon” campaign, launched in solidarity with the people of Lebanon suffering from consequences of armed conflict.
The campaign plans to collect donations from the public in collaboration with humanitarian and charitable organisations. A humanitarian relief package collection and packing campaign will be held at the specified times and designated locations as follows:
1. Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm – at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai.
2. Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm – at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal of the Abu Dhabi Ports (Terminal 1).
A large group of volunteers from different nationalities and communities in the UAE will participate in organising the campaign in coordination with the Emirates Foundation’s Volunteers Platform, in addition to other volunteer platforms in various emirates.
Cash donations will be received through the bank accounts of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority or through the website and smart applications of the Authority and official associations operating in the country.
In-kind assistance will be received through the ERC Authority’s warehouses in the Musaffah area of Abu Dhabi and other warehouses in the Dubai Humanitarian, in addition to the Authority’s offices in all regions of the country.
