Virat Kohli Tops List for Most Ducks Among Active ODI Players

Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has set an unwanted record by scoring his 18th duck in ODIs, the highest number for any active player.

The milestone came during the ongoing ODI series against Australia, where Kohli was dismissed for zero runs in two back-to-back matches.

The latest incident took place at the Adelaide Oval, where Kohli faced just four balls before being trapped leg-before by Australian bowler Xavier Bartlett. The crowd, filled with Indian supporters, still showed their respect and admiration for the star batter as he walked back to the pavilion.

Kohli, known for his consistency and match-winning performances, has been going through a rare rough patch in this series. While his dismissals have drawn attention, fans and cricket experts remain confident that he will bounce back strongly, as he has done many times in the past.

Over his long career, Kohli has built a reputation as one of the finest batters in modern cricket, holding numerous records for centuries, runs, and match-winning innings. A few low scores, experts say, do not overshadow his impact and contribution to Indian cricket.

Despite these recent setbacks, Kohli’s experience and determination continue to inspire young players around the world.

His ability to recover from challenging phases has been a key part of his journey. As the series continues, all eyes will be on Kohli to see if he can return to form and remind everyone why he remains one of cricket’s greatest modern-day legends.
