Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the 30-year-long relationship between Belarus and Pakistan. Speaking at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House, he highlighted his focus on enhancing cooperation in technology, agriculture, and defense production.

President Lukashenko stressed the importance of implementing agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) quickly to benefit the people of both countries. He also expressed a desire to support people-centric projects that could improve lives and create opportunities.

During the press conference, the Belarusian leader expressed his solidarity with Pakistan in light of the recent devastating floods. He reassured Pakistan of Belarus’s continued friendship and support during difficult times.

Reflecting on past discussions with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Lukashenko praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts to advance bilateral cooperation. He noted that strong leadership is crucial in addressing the challenges faced by the world today and appreciated Shehbaz Sharif’s proactive approach.

The visit underscores the strong bond between Belarus and Pakistan and sets the stage for deeper collaboration in key areas. Both leaders emphasized the shared commitment to building a stronger partnership that benefits their nations and their people.
