The Ras Al Khaimah Court of First Instance, Second Circuit – Misdemeanors, fined an Arab woman Dhs5,000 for insulting a fellow woman and obligated her to pay the due fees for referring the civil lawsuit to the competent civil court.
The defendant insulted the victim with words that were offensive to her honour and a slur on her family’s reputation after she went to her house as proven by a video submitted by the victim and was transcribed by the Public Prosecution.
Hanan Salem Al Shamili Law Firm and Legal Consultations, the victim’s attorney, confirmed that the defendant used to go to the victim’s house, sit in front of the house and then start insulting and slandering the victim over disputes between the defendant and her ex-husband, the victim’s son.
Investigations and home camera footage proved that the defendant insulted and slandered the victim.
