HOROSCOPES

A Venus-Pluto link on your birthday means the dividing line between the personal and the professional will be blurred over the coming year. Everything you say and do in one area will affect other areas too, so you must stay sharp.

Aries (March 21 – April 20):

Don’t take it personally if a loved one comes on a bit strong today. The planets indicate they are in one of those moods when even the smallest of setbacks is seen as a tragedy. Smile at their dramatics and don’t take anything they say seriously.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21):

Not everyone can be as logical and sensible as you, so make allowances for friends and family members who don’t seem to understand even the simplest of things. If communication is the key to success they are obviously not going to make it.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21):

You may have no choice today but to get tough with someone who has let you down. If this isn’t the first time they have said one thing to you and then done the opposite then maybe your association with them needs to end.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23):

A partnership that has been going through a bad patch can easily be salvaged, but only if you stay calm and refuse to get upset about what recently took place. If there is money involved that is double the incentive to work things out between you.

Leo (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Venus in your sign at odds with Pluto today means you must make a serious effort to see another person’s point of view. Even if you are 100 per cent certain they have got it wrong you won’t change their outlook by forcing the issue.

Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You need to think again about something you have taken for granted for many years. It may be a belief or even a lifestyle but new facts and figures have come to light that indicate you may have approached it from the wrong angle.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Mars in your sign means you won’t stand for any kind of interference in your personal affairs. Sadly, someone does not seem to be aware of that fact and will stick their nose in where it doesn’t belong. Try not to be too harsh with them.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

If something disrupts your plans today your first reaction will be to get angry about it but there is really no need. You may even find that you prefer the new direction you are expected to move in, not that you will admit it of course.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Your No. 1 priority is to focus on the task at hand and not let anything distract you from getting it finished as quickly as possible. If your attention wanders for even a moment it will take days, maybe even weeks, to get back on track.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You may be inclined to turn up your nose at a business offer, because you don’t trust where it is coming from, but don’t be hasty. Venus in the wealth area of your chart suggests it may be on the level. Make it your business to find out.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Has someone been taking advantage of your generous nature? According to the planets they have and now you must draw a line and make sure they cannot go any further. Don’t shut them out completely but do be less charitable in future.

Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

Steer your mind away from petty matters and focus exclusively on the world around you and what you can do to make it a better place. This is a great time to sign up to a social cause that needs people who possess both intelligence and compassion.
