HOROSCOPES IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

The first thing you need to do in the days after your birthday is to get your thoughts in order. There have been too many ideas competing for your attention in recent months and they can and must be tamed. A focused mind is a happy mind.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You may have to make some kind of adjustment today, most likely because you aimed a bit too high and now realize you won’t hit your target unless you make changes. Don’t get angry with yourself: mistakes are how we learn and grow.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

You may want to make a good impression on employers and people in positions of power but don’t push yourself too hard or too fast or the impression could be the opposite of what you intended. Avoid making plans that clearly won’t work.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

You will be in an argumentative mood today but the planets warn if you go looking for a fight you could find yourself up against someone who is better informed than you are. You may think you are smart but there is always someone with a bigger brain!

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

Is what you think you are seeing what is actually there or are you fooling yourself into believing that your opinions are based on fact when in reality they are mostly illusions? It’s probably the latter, so look again and see the bigger picture.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

If you listen to what a friend or loved one tells you today it could stop you from making a serious mistake. You will, of course, have to admit that you made the wrong call but rather that than falling flat on your face and looking stupid!

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

There seems to be a wide gulf between what you want to be doing and what you are actually doing on a daily basis. The only way to close that gap is to admit that you made a wrong turn and then make the effort to change direction.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Amazing ideas will flood into your head over the next few days, leading you to believe that you are on the verge of something great. That may be true but you cannot possibly do justice to all those ideas, so be ruthless and junk most of them.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You may not be thinking straight at the moment, which could be dangerous. Put your feelings on hold for the next 24 hours and proceed only on the basis of facts and figures that cannot be denied either by you or by other people.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You have some pretty big projects lined up but it would be unwise to launch yourself at them without serious planning. Energy and enthusiasm can take you a long way but success is more likely to come when you add intelligence to the mix.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

It is inevitable that you will disagree with what you are expected to do today and it is just as inevitable that you will have to do it anyway. Once you accept that simple fact you can focus on finding ways to make your responsibilities less of a chore.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

You always expect a lot of yourself and it has become obvious of late that in one or more areas you are expecting too much. Be kind to yourself today and do something that doesn’t challenge you so much. You’re allowed to take a break!

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

Avoid getting pulled into other people’s disputes, which are sure to be petty and cannot benefit you in any way at all. No matter how much friends and colleagues beg you to sign up to their side you can and you must stay neutral.
