HOROSCOPES

The message of the stars on your birthday is that you must keep your plans for the coming year a little bit vague. That way you will be able to react quickly when the unexpected happens. There’s no good reason to look too far ahead.

Aries (March 21 – April 20):

What happens today may not be to your liking but if you maintain a positive mental attitude and keep a smile on your face nothing truly bad will occur. This may be a trying time for some people but in general the universe will protect you.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21):

You need to accept that nothing stays the same forever and that what is changing in your world will be for the best in the long-term. The only decision you need to take today is whether or not to get involved in other people’s dramas.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21):

Someone once said that what does not destroy you makes you stronger and you would probably agree with that sentiment. But it doesn’t mean you should go looking for situations that are likely to be dangerous. Being reckless is not the same as being brave.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23):

Even if you think you know why something has gone wrong you are advised to get expert advice rather than try to fix it yourself. The planets warn you may have overlooked a small but important detail that only a specialist is able to resolve.

Leo (July 24 – Aug. 23):

You are in one of those moods when you refuse to change your opinions even though the evidence suggests you have got it wrong. Be stubborn by all means but be ready to backtrack later when you have to admit that certain beliefs no longer fit.

Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

If you did something wrong a week or two back and have now been found out then all you can do is own up and take whatever punishment you are handed by the powers that be. It’s unlikely to be more than a slap on the wrist.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

If a business or social relationship has become too restrictive for you then it may be time to call it a day. You may not be ruthless by nature but you can see how much a partner has been holding you back and must cut ties immediately.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Even a Scorpio sometimes gets involved in situations that cannot be settled by resolute action and your current predicament is a case in point. You have no choice now but to get help from someone whose specialty is solving problems of a sensitive nature.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

A project you once had high hopes for but which faded out a few months ago is on your mind again. The fact that your subconscious has been working on it while you focused on other matters means you will find it easier this time to make it work.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

If you ignore a problem of some kind it won’t go away but will grow in importance with every hour you fail to get to grips with it. Make an effort now, this very moment, to get on top of it and make sure it never bothers you again.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Although your freedom of action may be limited at the moment your mind is not restricted in any way and coming up with ways to improve your lifestyle should be easy. It’s always good to have plans, so put your thinking cap on and start dreaming.

Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

If you allow a critic to get under your skin today it will annoy you so much that you may lose sight of a long-term goal, which is exactly what they are hoping will happen. Blot them out of your mind completely – imagine they no longer exist!
