HOROSCOPES

The message of your birthday chart is that you need to find a sensible balance between having fun times with people who share your carefree outlook and finding ways to help those who are less fortunate than you. It doesn’t have to be a 50-50 split.

Aries (March 21 – April 20):

You would be wise to steer clear of extremes today, especially on the work front where rivals will pounce on any remark you make or action you take that can be distorted to make you look bad. Watch your own back, because no one else will.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21):

There may be times over the next 24 hours when you get a bit emotional about what is going on in the world. Try to control your feelings so you can channel them into constructive activities that benefit both yourself and other people.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21):

Do you have a guilty conscience about something you said or did not say recently? According to the planets you do but the good news is that friends and work colleagues don’t care in the slightest – so why worry about it at all?

Cancer (June 22 – July 23):

Don’t be surprised if someone whose opinions you disagree with profoundly defends your right to express what you believe in today. You may have very different ways of looking at the world but like you they know that free speech is essential.

Leo (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Do you want fame or do you want fortune? You do, of course, want both and what occurs over the next few days will point you in a direction where you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Don’t listen to those who say you are being greedy.

Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Mars moves into your sign tomorrow, adding to the power of several other cosmic influences. Opportunities to improve your life on every level will come thick and fast and you must not hesitate to make use of them. It’s what the universe wants of you.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

You may have no intention of watching what you say, especially when there are so many important matters that need to be debated, but don’t go too far and say stuff that alienates not just your enemies but your allies as well. Know when to stay quiet.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Relationships are under favourable stars at the moment and the planets indicate you will be making a lot of new friends this week. Just remember you don’t have to agree on every last issue to get along together on a human level.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Changes on the career front will unsettle you this week but the fact is your easygoing mindset is in need of a shakeup. Everyone knows you are capable of achieving great things but they won’t happen unless you make better use of your talents.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

If you find yourself caught up in an embarrassing situation today just pretend it does not matter and focus on something else. Act as if you are not in the least bit bothered what other people might think about you. Better still, mean it.

Aquarius(Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

There were times recently when you felt unappreciated by some of the people you work and do business with. Now they will make it up to you and shower you with praise for the efforts you have made on their behalf. You have earned their respect.

Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You are under no obligation to limit your ambitions just because people higher up the professional ladder say you must stay at your current level. If they won’t let you move ahead at your own pace then find somewhere more attractive to work.
