You may be tempted to streamline your affairs over the coming year but don’t go to extremes. Instead, be pragmatic and aim to reform your life just a day at a time. That way you are less likely to throw out things you are still going to need.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You will be a bit restless today and certainly won’t be happy if others expect you to stay in one place for any length of time. You know that your chores and duties can wait, so don’t be intimidated by those who say you are being irresponsible.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

The more someone tries to win you round to their point of view today the more you must stand firm and let them know that your very different outlook on life won’t be changing, not now, not ever. Bulls are supposed to be stubborn.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

The cosmic picture is so much in your favor now that you can get just about anything you desire, but that does not mean you should chase after everything. Only pursue those goals you know will deliver real value to you and your loved ones.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

You may not want to upset someone in a position of authority but if you don’t speak up about an injustice of some kind it will make life harder for you in the long-term. Cancer is a cardinal sign and cardinal signs are supposed to be courageous.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Not everyone approves of the way you are currently living but do you care about that? Of course not. Mars in your sign gives you boundless self-confidence and if others expect you to change your ways they are going to be disappointed.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

No matter what you say over the next 24 hours family and friends will take an opposing view. The best way to deal with their negativity is to ignore it and move ahead confidently without their assistance. None of their predictions will come true.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

You want to get out and about and have a fun time but some people think you should be tackling more serious issues. Maybe they are right but you really don’t care. A moment in which you don’t smile is, to you, a moment wasted.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Like everyone you have a skeleton or two in your closet and something embarrassing could become public knowledge today. Don’t try to ignore it. Instead, embrace it and own it. It’s one of those things that makes you more interesting than most other people.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Someone who has ideas and opinions at odds with your own will come looking for an argument today and you are in just the mood to give it to them. The ensuing battle of words and wits will be hugely enjoyable, even more so when you win!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

The more others say you are stuck in your ways the more you will agree with them. You are at your best when following a familiar path, so make it clear you have no intention of signing up to the latest big thing. You may laugh at it though.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

You may think you can take on the world and win, and maybe you can, but why set your sights so high that you increase by tenfold the chances that you might fail? Set yourself challenges that move you up just a step at a time.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You may be one of the more agreeable members of the zodiac but there are times when even you have to draw a line and refuse to deal with those whose values you find repulsive. One particular group of people must be kept at arm’s length today.
