HOROSCOPES IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Mercury begins its retrograde phase on your birthday, which among other things means you need to be extra careful when dealing with what other people say are the facts. You cannot afford to take anything at face value. Check, check and check again.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

If events are frustrating you to the degree that you are on the verge of doing something drastic you would be wise to stop and think about it in a bit more depth. Do you absolutely have to take action at this particular moment? If not, don’t!

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

You may not be one of life’s natural dreamers but your mind does seem to be leading you in some strange directions of late. As Mercury begins its retrograde phase today it might be wise not to take any of your dreams too seriously.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

There may be certain people who are holding you back in life but you won’t be able to get rid of them for some time yet. You can though keep them at arm’s length when you are involved with anything of a serious nature, as you will be today.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

If someone lets you down today, and almost certainly they will, don’t fly off the handle and make them feel bad. That will almost certainly affect their confidence and make it likely they will let you down again later on. Try building up their self-belief instead.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

You must be honest about the way you feel today, even though you know it could provoke an adverse reaction from someone you love. The simple fact is if you carry on pretending that everything is all right the relationship could decline even further in the future.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

The more others try to change your point of view the more you will dig in your heels and refuse to budge. Is that really wise? According to the planets you should listen carefully to what they have to say. You might learn something.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Try not to give friends and colleagues the impression that you are being pushy over the next 24 hours. You may have a very good reason for wanting things done one way and not another but they are unlikely to respond well to coercion.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

The most important thing now is that you follow your instincts to the letter, even though everyone else may be telling you that they are wrong. As mind planet Mercury begins its retrograde phase you should act on gut feeling alone.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You may be in a critical mood today but don’t take it out on friends and loved ones who, whatever their limitations, are clearly doing their best. If you want them to do better in the future you need to be smart and talk up their abilities.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

The message of the stars today is that you must not take minor disputes too seriously. What starts out as a small disagreement could escalate into a full-blown war of words, so promise yourself here and now that you won’t overreact.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Routine tasks may be boring but like it or not they have to be done. Make it your No. 1 priority today to put a serious dent in that backlog of jobs that has been building up over the past few weeks. If not now, then when?

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

If you focus on one thing to the exclusion of everything else today you will accomplish a lot. If, however, you allow your mind to wander all over the place you will achieve nothing and may even end up further away from your goals than when you started.
