137 Global Solidarity Flotilla Activists Arrive in Istanbul, Turkiye After Release

A group of 137 activists, including 36 citizens of Türkiye, were sent back to Türkiye on Saturday after being detained by Israeli authorities.

The activists had been part of the Global Sumud Flotilla, an international aid mission that was headed to G@za to deliver humanitarian supplies and raise awareness about the ongoing block@de.

The group was deported from Ramon Airport in Israel and landed safely at Istanbul Airport at around 3:50 p.m. local time.

Upon arrival, they were greeted warmly by officials, humanitarian organizations and supporters who praised their courage and commitment to the cause.

The Global Sumud Flotilla was organized by international activists and humanitarian groups to bring essential supplies to the people of G@za who continue to face severe shortages of food, medicine, and basic necessities.

The flotilla’s mission was also meant to highlight the humanitarian crisis and encourage the global community to take action in support of the people living under the block@de.

The return of the activists has sparked renewed discussions on the need for global solidarity and peaceful humanitarian efforts in the region.

Many international organizations have once again called for the free movement of aid to G@za and the protection of humanitarian workers who risk their lives to help others.

Supporters in Türkiye and around the world expressed their pride in the activists’ bravery and dedication. They emphasized that such missions even when stopped help keep the world’s attention on the suffering of P@lestinians and the urgent need for peace and justice.
