47 Scientists and Engineers Receive Civil Awards from CJCSC in Rawalpindi

In a special ceremony at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi, Pakistan honoured 47 scientists and engineers for their exceptional work in national development and security.

The awards were given by General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), on behalf of the President of Pakistan.

These experts are part of the National Command Authority, which plays a key role in strengthening the country’s defence and technological progress. Their dedication was recognised with three major civil awards.

Ten individuals received the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence), twenty-one were given the President’s Award for Pride of Performance, and sixteen received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence).

This ceremony continues the tradition started last year, showing the country’s growing appreciation for its scientific community. By honouring these professionals, Pakistan aims to promote a culture of innovation and recognize the importance of science and technology in national security.

General Sahir Shamshad Mirza praised the awardees for their hard work, saying their contributions are a source of pride for the nation. He also encouraged other scientists and engineers to follow their path of excellence and dedication.

These awards not only celebrate individual achievement but also highlight Pakistan’s commitment to supporting and investing in its scientific talent. It’s a step towards building a stronger, more secure, and self-reliant country.
