Pakistan Strength Lifting Team won the 4th position with 4 Gold 9 Silver 6 Browns medals in the 9th World Strength Lifting Championship in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The third position was taken by Kazakhstan. The second position was won by Kyrgyzstan and the first position by India in the 9th World Strength Lifting Championship which was held on September 5, 2022 to 9th sep and was inaugurated by the Sports Minister of Kyrgyzstan.
Pakistan’s 11-member strength lifting team participated in men’s and women’s sub-junior junior senior master categories and performed well, winning 4 gold, 9 silver, and 6 bronze medals and placed fourth overall.

Mrs Najjia Sajjad Shah of Karachi won Master 65kg class 2 silver Medal Ahmed Ali Shoaib75 kg jr Son of International Golfer Shahzadee Gulfam one Gold and one silver beat India player ,Talha Farooq of Gujrat 75kg Two Golds in junior class Waqqas Zafar 95kg senior class one silver Muhammad Usman 85kg One Bronze in Senior Class Mohammad Naveed of Gujranwa One Silver in Senior Class of kg95 and one Bronze Nomaan Wahid in Senior Class of kg105 Two Bronze Rao Zafar Advocate of Mailsai in Master Class of kg95+ One Silver and one Bronze International powerlifter ofPunjab police Aqeel Javed Butt in Master 2 class of kg115+ Won Gold and aSilver Beat Indian player Manzoor Shaheen won 2 silver medals in Master 2 class of 95 kg. In the championship, the governing body of the World Strength Lifting Federation held a meeting in which it was decided to hold the next 10 World Strength Lifting Championships in Dubai or South Africa.
For this championship, Manzoor Shaheen was appointed as the organization chairman and Aqeel Javed Butt as the president of Pakistan Strength Lifting Federation as the organizing secretary.
Dr. Kokab Aziz was appointed as the working president of World Strength Lifting. Pakistan Strength Lifting Team was led by Chairman Pakistan Strength Lifter Mr. Manzoor Shaheen Rupal, Coach Aqeel Javed Butt, International Powerlifter Pakistan Strength Lifting Team Captain Muhammad Usman, technical official duties were performed by Waqas Zafar, there was a large number of fans in this championship. World President Babul Bilqas and Dr. Kokab Aziz congratulated the Pakistan team on their excellent performance.
Pakistan Strength Lifting Team will reach Lahore on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, and will be welcomed by Powerlifting Weightlifting Mass Wrestling athletes.
