Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, has given his assurance to the Sikh community of Pakistan that all gurdwaras and holy sites damaged in the recent floods will be fully restored.

This commitment was shared during his meeting with Sikh community leaders, where he highlighted the importance of protecting religious heritage and promoting respect for all faiths in the country.

He stressed that the preservation of sacred places is not only about rebuilding structures but also about honoring the deep cultural and spiritual ties they represent.

By ensuring that these sites are restored with dignity, the Pakistan Army aims to uphold values of inclusivity and interfaith harmony, which are vital for peace and unity in society.

The Army Chief also reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army stands firmly with all communities during times of hardship. He noted that disasters such as floods affect every segment of society, and it is the collective responsibility of the state and institutions to provide relief, rehabilitation, and support to those affected.

His assurance has been warmly welcomed by the Sikh community as a meaningful step toward rebuilding trust and strengthening national solidarity. Leaders expressed appreciation for the Army’s commitment to protecting religious freedom and ensuring that minority communities feel valued and respected in Pakistan.

This initiative not only addresses the immediate need for restoration but also sends a powerful message of unity. By safeguarding the cultural and spiritual heritage of all communities, Pakistan takes a step forward in fostering religious inclusivity and promoting stronger bonds among its diverse population.
