Sialkot’s Green Apple Marquee Becomes Flood Shelter for People and Animals

In Sialkot, the Green Apple Marquee has become a symbol of hope for flood victims. The marquee opened its doors to those affected, offering them shelter and safety.

What makes this effort truly special is that the marquee did not only provide space for displaced families but also for their animals, ensuring that people would not have to abandon their livelihoods in the middle of the crisis.

Local residents played a key role in rescuing families from the worst-hit areas. Using tractors and trucks, they transported men, women, and children to the marquee, bringing them away from danger.

Once inside, volunteers worked tirelessly to prepare food in large pots so that no one went hungry. The atmosphere of care and compassion gave families much-needed relief after the trauma of losing their homes and possessions.

What stands out most in this initiative is the unity of the community. Instead of waiting for outside help, the people of Sialkot came together to protect one another. Their quick response and willingness to share resources showed how much strength can be found in collective action.

This heartwarming example highlights the resilience and kindness of Pakistan’s people. In the face of disaster, they chose to act with humanity, standing side by side to ease each other’s pain.

The Green Apple Marquee’s efforts demonstrate that even in the darkest of times, compassion can shine through, reminding us that solidarity and care are the strongest tools for overcoming any crisis.
