Air India Crash Report Reveals Pilot Confusion Over Engine Switch Movement Before Accident

A preliminary report on the recent Air India crash has revealed serious confusion in the cockpit that led to the tragic accident.

The investigation found that the engine fuel cutoff switches on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner were turned off almost at the same time, which cut off fuel to the engines shortly after takeoff. This caused the plane to lose power and crash, sadly killing 260 people on board.

Investigators are trying to understand how and why both switches were turned off. The report said that during the flight, one pilot asked the other why the fuel was cut off, but the other pilot denied doing it. This points to miscommunication or a possible misunderstanding between the pilots at a critical moment.

So far, no technical fault has been found with Boeing or GE, the company that makes the engines. The aircraft and its engines were working fine before the accident, which puts the focus on what happened inside the cockpit.

This tragic crash is a major setback for Air India, which has been working hard to rebuild its reputation and improve its services. The airline has faced past issues but was trying to show that it could operate safely and reliably.

The investigation is still going on with help from US aviation authorities, who are providing support to find out exactly what went wrong. Families of the victims and aviation experts hope that the final report will lead to better training and safety measures so that such a disaster never happens again.
