Are You a Student of a Private University? CM Punjab Laptop Program Phase-II is LIVE – Apply Now Before 20 March 2026!

The Higher Education Department of the Government of Punjab has officially launched Phase-II of the CM Punjab Laptop Program, extending the opportunity to a wider segment of students across the province. The announcement confirms that the application portal is now live, allowing eligible candidates to apply before the closing date of 20 March 2026. The initiative aims to promote digital inclusion and empower students by equipping them with modern technological tools to enhance their academic performance and research capabilities.

According to the details shared, students enrolled in private universities are also eligible to apply under the revised criteria. In addition, all federally chartered universities have been included in the program, broadening access beyond public sector institutions. Students of Allama Iqbal Open University are likewise eligible, reflecting the government’s commitment to supporting learners from diverse educational backgrounds, including distance learning platforms. Officials have encouraged students to submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical or documentation issues.

The CM Punjab Laptop Program has been widely regarded as a flagship educational initiative designed to bridge the digital divide among students. By providing laptops to deserving candidates, the government seeks to strengthen academic research, online learning, and skill development in an increasingly technology-driven environment. Education experts believe that such measures play a vital role in enhancing digital literacy and preparing students for competitive national and international markets.

Authorities have reiterated that the program is intended to support academic growth and professional development. Students are advised to carefully review eligibility requirements and complete their applications promptly through the official portal. With the deadline approaching on 20 March 2026, the Higher Education Department has urged applicants to act swiftly to secure their chance under Phase-II of the program.
