China has once again shown its strong support for Pakistan, calling the Pakistan Army the “pillar of national stability” and the true “guardian” of the Pak–China friendship.
This message came during a high-level meeting held in Islamabad on August 21, 2025, between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen strategic cooperation and to work together for peace in the region. Wang Yi highlighted that China fully supports Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and economic development.
He also praised the Pakistan Army for playing a vital role in carrying out the agreements made between the two countries. According to him, the relationship between Pakistan and China remains “as solid as a rock,” even at a time when the world is facing many uncertainties and challenges.
Field Marshal Asim Munir, in response, assured that Pakistan is fully committed to ensuring the safety of Chinese projects and personnel working in the country. He described China as Pakistan’s “iron brother,” a phrase often used to show the unique closeness of the two nations.
Both sides also signed new agreements aimed at expanding cooperation in the areas of security, economy, and development. These pacts are expected to further deepen the partnership that has long been described as “higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the oceans, and sweeter than honey.”
The meeting showed that both Pakistan and China remain determined to stand by each other and continue building a strong, all-weather friendship.
