CM Punjab Launches Honhaar Scholarship for 30,000 Talented Students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a major new initiative to support students across the province by offering 30,000 scholarships through the Honhaar Scholarship Programme. This program aims to help deserving students pursue their higher education without financial worries.

To make the process easier, information desks have been set up at various universities across Punjab. The scholarships will be available for 68 different fields of study, giving students a wide range of options to choose from. Each year, 30,000 students will benefit from this program, following the vision set by Maryam Nawaz.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must be enrolled in one of the 50 public sector universities in Punjab. The scholarships will cover the cost of four to five years of undergraduate education, depending on the course. Eligibility is based on a formula that takes into account a student’s past academic performance, with 30% weight given to matriculation marks and 70% to intermediate marks.

In addition to academic performance, students must be under the age of 22 and come from families with an annual income of less than Rs300,000. The scholarships will fully cover tuition fees, making higher education accessible to more students, including those pursuing MBBS and BDS degrees.

This program is expected to have a huge impact on education in Punjab, helping thousands of young people achieve their academic goals and build a better future for themselves and their families.
