Direct Flights from Quetta to Iran and Iraq Approved to Facilitate Arbaeen Pilgrims

To help pilgrims travel more safely and easily, the federal government has given approval for direct flights from Quetta to Iran and Iraq during the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage. This important update was shared by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif during a session of the National Assembly.

This decision comes after growing concerns about the safety of the 800-kilometre land route through Balochistan, which many pilgrims have used in the past. Due to security risks along this route, the government has decided to offer a safer and more convenient alternative by introducing air travel.

According to the Defence Minister, one flight from Quetta has already taken off successfully, and more flights are being arranged every day. These flights will include both private and chartered airlines, making it easier for a large number of people to travel.

The aim of this step is to make sure that pilgrims can reach their destinations on time and without any fear or discomfort. The government has worked closely with Iranian officials and aviation authorities in Pakistan to make sure everything is well-organized.

This move highlights the government’s commitment to supporting religious travel and ensuring the safety and comfort of all pilgrims, especially during important occasions like Arbaeen.
