At Tesla’s “We, Robot” event on Thursday, CEO Elon Musk introduced the Cybercab, a new two-seater autonomous car without a steering wheel or pedals. The event, held in Burbank, California, showcased 21 Cybercabs along with 50 other self-driving vehicles. Musk shared that the Cybercab is expected to sell for less than $30,000, with production planned to start by 2027.

In addition to the Cybercab, Musk also revealed plans for an electric Robovan, which can carry up to 20 passengers. He highlighted Tesla’s progress in Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology, saying the company aims to achieve fully unsupervised self-driving in Texas and California by next year.

Although Tesla has faced delays in delivering on its autonomy promises in the past, Musk reassured attendees that the company is still committed to making it a reality.

Event guests had the opportunity to take test rides in the autonomous vehicles and interact with Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus. The event ended with a fun display of dancing robots, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. Tesla continues to push the boundaries of autonomous technology, with exciting new vehicles and features on the horizon.
