FIA Hunts Top Bureaucrats After Luxury Car Allegedly Goes Missing From Diplomatic Enclave

The federal government has directed the FIA to start a full investigation into the suspected theft or loss of a government car meant for foreign guests.

According to reports, the Cabinet Division has named four people who will be investigated in this case. They are Muhammad Amir Qureshi, a Section Officer at CPC; Rashid Saleem Bhatti, a Section Officer in Maritime Affairs; Muhammad Bashir, who worked as a driver; and Irshad Ali Shah, who was the Transport Supervisor.

An internal report claims that these four may have been involved in the disappearance of the car and could face criminal charges if found guilty. Sources say that the vehicle was given to a woman following an order by a former Joint Secretary. Later, Islamabad police stopped the woman when she tried to enter the Diplomatic Enclave without having the proper permission.

When asked about the missing car, the former official said that he does not know where the vehicle is now. Because of this serious situation, the Cabinet Division has now passed the case to the FIA to carry out a full investigation and take legal steps if needed.

The missing car was part of the Cabinet’s Car Pool Section, which manages more than 400 expensive cars. These vehicles are used by top government officials and for welcoming foreign dignitaries.

The government wants the truth behind this incident to come out soon so that those responsible are punished and such misuse of state property does not happen again.
