Good News for Pilgrims Unable to Perform Hajj
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsapp

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has introduced a relief policy for registered pilgrims who may face unavoidable situations preventing them from traveling for Hajj. This step has been welcomed as a compassionate move to support those dealing with hardships.

Under the new framework, if a registered pilgrim cannot perform Hajj due to serious illness or death, an immediate family member will be allowed to take their place. In addition, pilgrims who cannot travel will have two other options: they may nominate another individual or request a refund of their deposited funds.

To make the process transparent, applicants will need to provide relevant documents, including medical or death certificates, proof of payment and an affidavit confirming the request.

Officials explained that these requirements are meant to verify genuine cases and prevent unnecessary delays.

The ministry emphasized that the purpose of this policy is to remove financial burdens and ensure smooth facilitation for affected families. For many, this update offers much-needed peace of mind, knowing that their Hajj opportunity—or the funds they invested—will not go to waste.
