The government has made an important announcement regarding the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), effective from June 15.

According to the latest update, the price of petrol will decrease by Rs10.20, bringing it down to Rs258.16 per litre. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) will see a reduction of Rs2.33, setting it at Rs267.89 per litre. Meanwhile, the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil (LDO) will remain unchanged at Rs171.61 and Rs157.32 per litre, respectively.

This reduction in fuel prices follows a previous cut that took effect on June 1. In addition to these adjustments, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a significant reduction of Rs10.69 per unit in electricity tariffs for the industrial sector. This move aims to lower electricity costs to Rs34.99 per unit, with the goal of stimulating exports and enhancing production in the country.

These measures are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide relief to consumers and support industrial growth amid economic challenges.
