Dubai receives 1,000 people to rectify their status on the first day of the amnesty

Major General Sultan Yousef Al Nuaimi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), has confirmed that there is no extension to the deadline for rectifying status of overstayers, which is set to expire on Oct.30, 2024.
This came during a media meeting at the ICP’s headquarters in Sharjah, where Al Nuaimi stated that inspection campaigns would be conducted in collaboration with the relevant authorities on overstayers beginning on Nov.1, 2024, in residential areas, companies and industrial areas.
Furthermore, he stated that the relevant teams are engaged in continuous monitoring of potential locations where overstayers may be situated.
He exhorted those who had contravened the regulations to rectify their status within the prescribed time-frame by visiting the designated centres to correct the status of violators.
