On the blessed Day of Arafah, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam of Masjid Al-Haram and a senior member of Saudi Arabia’s Council of Senior Scholars, delivered the official Hajj 2025 sermon from Masjid Al-Namirah in Arafat. His message was broadcast live to millions of pilgrims gathered on the plains of Arafat and to viewers around the world.
Addressing the spiritual and moral responsibilities of Muslims, Sheikh Dr. Humaid emphasized the importance of taqwa (God-consciousness) as the foundation of a believer’s life. He called upon Muslims to strengthen their relationship with Allah through regular prayers, patience, honesty, and compassion. He reminded the congregation of the need to fulfill their religious obligations such as zakat (almsgiving), and to maintain justice, humility, and unity in both personal and communal affairs.
The Imam urged Muslims to honor their parents, care for the needy, and show kindness toward orphans, widows, and neighbors. His sermon stressed the significance of building a society based on mercy, moral integrity, and accountability.
In a heartfelt moment, Sheikh Dr. Humaid also prayed for the people of Palestine, saying, “O Allah, support the oppressed in Palestine. Heal their wounded, accept their martyrs, and grant them justice and victory over their oppressors.”
