The wedding took place in a private ceremony, attended by close friends and family

Two-time Indian Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra has tied the knot, confirming the news in a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday. Sharing the moment with his fans, Chopra expressed his gratitude and love as he enters a new chapter of his life.

“Starting new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after,” Chopra wrote, accompanied by a series of pictures revealing his wife, Himani, who is currently studying in the USA, according to Chopra’s uncle.

The wedding took place in a private ceremony, attended by close friends and family. Chopra’s uncle also confirmed that a reception party will be held to celebrate the marriage.

On the professional front, Chopra is preparing to bring a Continental Tour Javelin-Only competition to India. Endorsed by World Athletics and the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), the event aims to bring world-class javelin throwers to the country. Though the exact date remains unconfirmed, reports suggest the event will take place in May this year.

“I have always dreamed of organising a world-class javelin competition in India. With the support of JSW Sports and the Athletics Federation of India, we are making it a reality,” Chopra said in a statement. “I am excited to see how big we can make this event and how it will be remembered.”

Chopra hopes to make the event an annual fixture in the global athletics calendar, with plans to add more track and field disciplines in future editions.

Parth Jindal, founder of JSW Sports, expressed gratitude to the AFI for their support. “The AFI has been doing incredible work to raise the profile of track and field sports in India. Their support for this event is a testament to their efforts,” Jindal said.
