PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi recently met USA Cricket Board CEO Johnathan Atkeison in Washington to discuss ways to promote cricket in the United States. Naqvi assured full support from Pakistan, expressing the PCB’s commitment to helping grow the sport in America.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the two boards, scheduling a future cricket series, and planning initiatives to increase cricket’s popularity in the US. As part of the discussions, Naqvi invited USA Cricket coaches to visit Pakistan for training programs. He also extended an invitation to Atkeison to attend the Champions Trophy 2025, which will be hosted in Pakistan.
USA Cricket CEO Johnathan Atkeison welcomed the support and opportunities offered by the PCB. He appreciated Pakistan’s willingness to contribute to cricket’s growth in the US, calling it a significant step in building strong cricketing ties between the two nations.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer also joined the discussions, underlining PCB’s focus on global cricket development.
In a separate update, Mohsin Naqvi shared news about Pakistani cricketer Saim Ayub’s recovery. He highlighted the player’s rehabilitation progress and expressed confidence in his readiness for future matches.
This meeting marks an important effort by both boards to strengthen cricket on a global scale, with Pakistan playing a key role in supporting the development of the sport in the United States.
