Nine Pakistani students earned prestigious awards in various committees at the Istanbul University Model United Nations (MUN) held from July 8 to 11, 2024. The Pakistan Consulate General in Istanbul confirmed their achievement.

This MUN event, which dates back to 1453, is one of Europe’s largest public speaking competitions, featuring 10,000 students from 143 countries.

The young Pakistani delegates competed against university-level students, showcasing their talents in rigorous debates across 57 disciplines. They performed admirably, standing out among many participants and securing awards in different committees.

The Consul General of Pakistan in Istanbul, H.E. Mr. Nauman Aslam, hosted a special event at the Pakistan Consulate to honor the Pakistani team and their trainer.

He congratulated the students on their impressive achievement and commended them for their hard work and dedication. The event was a proud moment for Pakistan, highlighting the country’s talent and potential on an international stage.
