Now One-Way Airticket From Islamabad to Karachi will Cost You Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 after Fuel Prices Shift

Air travel in Pakistan has become much more expensive after a sharp rise in fuel prices. One-way ticket fares from Islamabad to Karachi now range between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 50,000, creating concern among travelers.

Aviation officials say this increase is mainly due to a shortage of jet fuel and higher global oil prices. Fuel is one of the highest costs for airlines, and any change in its price directly affects ticket rates. As a result, fares across major cities like Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore have increased significantly.

The impact is not limited to domestic routes. International travel has also become more expensive. Ticket prices to popular destinations in the Middle East, as well as cities like Toronto, Paris, and Manchester, now range between Rs. 300,000 and Rs. 700,000.

Experts explain that the situation is also linked to currency pressure, as aviation fuel is often imported and paid for in foreign currency. When the local currency weakens, costs rise further for airlines.

Passengers, especially students and overseas workers, are feeling the pressure of these high fares. If fuel prices remain unstable, air travel in Pakistan is likely to stay expensive in the coming months.
