Over 336,999 Pakistanis Moved Abroad in Six Months

From January to June 2025, more than 336,999 Pakistanis found jobs abroad through the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE). The BEOE works under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and helps people get work in other countries safely and legally.

The Bureau has been helping Pakistanis since 1971. Since then, over 10 million people have registered through the BEOE to find jobs overseas. This shows how important overseas employment is for Pakistan.

Working abroad helps reduce unemployment in Pakistan. Many people who go abroad for work send money back home to their families. These foreign remittances help Pakistan in many ways. They bring in much-needed foreign currency that helps pay off debts, cover imports, and support the country’s economy.

Right now, the BEOE has more than 116,300 job openings listed for Pakistanis who want to work overseas. The Bureau also keeps a close eye on all emigration activities to make sure everything is done according to the rules under the Emigration Ordinance of 1979. This is to protect workers from fraud or illegal practices and to make sure they get fair treatment abroad.

Millions of families depend on money sent home by overseas workers. This money helps them pay for food, education, and healthcare. It also helps build houses and start small businesses.
