The Pakistan Navy, together with the Pakistan Coast Guards, carried out a large-scale anti-drug operation in Gwadar, Balochistan. During this operation, authorities seized a substantial quantity of illegal drugs, including 1,050 kilograms of hashish and 200 kilograms of methamphetamine, commonly known as ice.

Officials estimate the total value of the seized drugs at around Rs. 42.2 billion, which is roughly equivalent to 110 million U.S. dollars. Reports indicate that these drugs were being prepared for smuggling out of the country through maritime routes.

This operation was carried out based on careful intelligence and demonstrates Pakistan’s continued commitment to fighting drug trafficking and securing its coastal and maritime borders. The authorities emphasized that such coordinated efforts are part of a broader strategy to prevent illegal substances from entering international markets and to protect the country from the social and economic harms caused by drug smuggling.

The Pakistan Navy and Coast Guards have reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining vigilance at all ports and coastal areas, highlighting the importance of intelligence-led operations in combating organized crime along the country’s shores.
