Stormy Rains Hit Different Parts of Pakistan Triggering Flood-Like Conditions in Multiple Areas

Pakistan is currently experiencing severe weather conditions as heavy storms sweep across multiple regions, resulting in widespread flooding and disruptions. The capital city, Islamabad, has been hit by hail accompanied by a sharp drop in temperatures, creating hazardous conditions for residents. Meanwhile, major cities including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, Sargodha, Gujrat, Sialkot, and Gujranwala have witnessed intense rainfall, leading to localized flooding and challenges for daily commuting.

In Mianwali, the situation has become particularly alarming as the rising waters of the River Karam have inundated homes, forcing residents to seek higher ground. The northern mountainous areas continue to receive significant snowfall, with Naran, Swat, Babusar Top, and Nanga Parbat recording ongoing accumulation. The province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 45 fatalities linked to the heavy rains, and several key roadways, especially in the Para Chinar region, have been damaged, disrupting transportation and communication.

Northern Balochistan is also grappling with the effects of rain and snow, where five people have lost their lives amid the adverse weather. Authorities have issued warnings for continued rainfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 6 to April 9, signaling that residents should remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. Meanwhile, Kashmir continues to experience persistent showers, adding to the challenges in the region. Emergency services and local administrations are working to manage the impact, though the situation remains serious and dynamic.
