Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is confident that Pakistan’s IT exports can exceed $25 billion with better use of resources and focused education and training for the workforce.

During a review meeting on IT sector reforms in Islamabad, the Prime Minister directed the Higher Education Commission to create a plan to provide international-level education, training, and skills to young people.

He emphasized the increasing demand for Pakistani IT professionals in Gulf countries, stressing the need to implement related proposals.

The Prime Minister also urged setting clear targets for boosting IT exports and establishing deadlines for each step. He announced the formation of a committee to monitor the progress of reforms and encouraged cooperation between institutions to support the growth of the IT sector.
