PM of Pakistan Inaugurates Recep Tayyip Erdogan Interchange in Islamabad

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif officially opened the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Interchange in Islamabad’s F-8 sector. The project was built to reduce traffic congestion in the capital. He praised Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and the contractors for completing the project in just 84 days.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi explained that this three-level interchange connects important areas of the city, such as the Blue Area, government offices, the Red Zone, and PIMS hospital. The new road system is expected to make traffic flow much smoother, making it easier for people to travel across the city.

In addition to improving the roads, the government is also launching a tree-planting campaign. This effort will mainly focus on the Margalla Hills to increase greenery in Islamabad. The goal is to make the city more beautiful while continuing its development.

This project reflects the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and the environment at the same time. Better roads mean faster and safer travel, while more trees will help make the city greener and more pleasant. By combining these efforts, Islamabad is expected to become a better place to live and work.

With this new interchange, daily commutes will become easier, reducing travel time and congestion. The government hopes this project will set an example for future urban development in Pakistan, balancing modernization with nature conservation.
