PSB Announces Rs 8.2 Million Cash Reward for Pakistan Volleyball Team

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has announced a cash reward of Rs 8.2 million for Pakistan’s under-16 volleyball team and their coaches to honour their remarkable win at the Asian U16 Volleyball Championship.

As per PSB’s 2024 cash award policy, each of the 12 players will get Rs 600,000, making a total of Rs 7.2 million, while the coaching staff will receive Rs 1 million.

The young Green Shirts made history by beating defending champions Iran in the final with an exciting 3-2 comeback victory. The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, showing great skills and teamwork.

On their way to the title, they defeated strong teams like South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei, and Indonesia. They also outclassed their arch-rivals India with a straight 3-0 win in the semi-final.

During the championship, Pakistan’s team impressed everyone with their excellent attack, solid blocks, and strong serves. Their all-round performance and fighting spirit made the nation proud.

This win is a big moment in Pakistan’s volleyball history and shows the talent and hard work of young athletes. By announcing this cash prize so quickly, the PSB aims to motivate and support these rising stars so they continue to shine in the future.

Such encouragement not only rewards the players but also inspires other youngsters to take up sports and work hard for their country. The team’s success proves that with dedication and proper support, Pakistan’s youth can achieve great things on the international stage.
