Punjab has made a new national record by issuing more than two million driving licences in just 18 days. This achievement was made under the instructions of the provincial government to improve public services and make the licensing process easier for citizens.
Officials confirmed that different types of licences were issued during this period, including learning licences, regular driving licences, renewal licences, and international driving licences. These licences were provided through government service centres as well as an online portal, allowing people to apply without unnecessary delays.
A major highlight of this initiative was the home-based licensing system. More than one million people used this facility, which allowed licences to be delivered directly to their homes.
