Safe City Virtual Center Reunites 51,000+ Children with Families

The Safe City Authority’s Virtual Center for Child Safety has reported major progress in protecting vulnerable children across the province.

According to officials, the center has handled more than 118,000 child-related cases so far. Out of these, 51,472 children were successfully reunited with their families, bringing relief to thousands of parents.

The center relies heavily on modern technology. Using artificial intelligence, it managed to resolve 93,120 cases quickly and efficiently.

In situations where crimes were involved, 18,490 complaints led to FIRs, helping ensure that proper legal action was taken and justice was delivered for affected children.

A key part of the system is “Mera Pyara,” a program designed to keep detailed records of children who are orphaned, abandoned, or separated from their families.

Under this system, the authorities have registered 2,407 such children. In just the last three months, 970 children were successfully reunited with their guardians, showing how rapidly the program is improving.

The Virtual Center works closely with the Child Protection Bureau, Edhi Center, and several welfare organizations. Through this coordination, the center is able to respond faster and provide timely help. It operates around the clock, ensuring that support is available at any hour of the day.

Citizens can easily report missing or vulnerable children by calling 15 and then pressing 3 to reach the dedicated child safety team. Officials have encouraged the public to stay alert and report any suspicious situation to help keep children safe.

With its growing network, advanced systems, and active partnerships, the Virtual Center continues to strengthen child protection efforts across the region.
