Renowned religious scholar Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza was recently taken into protective custody by the Jhelum police. The action was carried out under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), a legal provision that allows authorities to detain individuals if they believe it is necessary to maintain law and order.

According to reports, the police reached his academy in Jhelum and respectfully escorted him out of the premises. This was done in a peaceful manner, without creating any disturbance for the students or people present there. Later, he was moved to a secure location where he is being kept under protective custody.

Authorities have not shared detailed reasons behind the decision, but it is believed that the step was taken as a precautionary measure to avoid any potential law and order situation.

Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza is a well-known scholar who has a large following, both in Pakistan and abroad. His lectures and research work are widely watched and discussed on social media and other platforms.

The police have assured that he is being treated with respect and care. Officials also confirmed that the custody is protective in nature and not a form of punishment or criminal arrest.

The incident has sparked conversations among his followers and the general public. Many are waiting for further updates from the authorities regarding the length of his custody and the circumstances that led to this decision. For now, he remains under safe and secure supervision.
