Sheikh Sultan attends graduation ceremony of Sharjah Marine Academy’s first batch

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, President of the Sharjah Maritime Academy (SMA), announced the provision of jobs for the graduates of the SMA’s first batch.
This was announced during His Highness’s speech on Thursday morning, at the graduation ceremony of the Academy’s first batch, which included 31 graduates, at the Academy’s theatre in Khorfakkan City.
His Highness said: “Today, we are happy with this achievement, the result of great effort and we are proud that our sons and daughters are now at a high level of knowledge, training, competence, and dedication to the United Arab Emirates, which they will represent with their good reputation.”
Sheikh Sultan added that during their practical training, the students, male and female reached the shores of Brazil, USA, and Singapore, and their reports prove their competence.
His Highness expressed his thanks to the fathers and mothers, praising the students who proved their courage in training and working in the high seas amid the oceans.
During his speech, His Highness reviewed the Academy’s journey, which started in December 2019, with actual classes starting in January 2020.
The graduation ceremony started with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Then, the graduated students entered the hall and stood on the stage to receive their certificates.
During the ceremony, Dr Hashim Abdullah Bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Director of the SMA delivered a speech in which he congratulated His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah on the graduation of the first batch.
The graduate Noura Abdullah Al Balushi, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates in which she expressed appreciation for the unlimited support and care of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, as well as his provision of all means to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of his sons and daughters.
Sheikh Sultan presented graduation certificates to 31 graduates, congratulating them on their achievement and wishing them success in their professional lives.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ports, Customs, and Free Zones Authority, Sheikh Khalid Bin Isam Bin Saqer Al Qassimi chairman of Sharjah Civil Aviation, , members of the Academy’s Board of Trustees, the graduates’ families, and other senior figures.
