Global reports continue to strengthen the claim that India suffered a clear setback during the aerial clash with Pakistan in May.

The latest statement comes from a French Naval Air Base Commander, who has openly said that the issue was not with the Rafale jets themselves, but with the way Indian pilots handled them.

Speaking at an international defense forum, the commander explained that the clash involved more than 140 fighter aircraft from both sides, making it one of the most complex air engagements in the region in recent years.

According to him, Pakistan managed the situation with better planning, discipline, and overall strategy, while India struggled to respond effectively.

He added that the Rafale is a highly capable aircraft and performs exceptionally well in combat, but only when operated with the right training and tactics.

In this case, he said, India’s losses were the result of poor execution rather than technological shortcomings. He noted that multiple Indian aircraft were lost because the pilots could not fully utilize the jet’s strengths during the clash.

The commander also praised the Pakistan Air Force for its coordination and defensive readiness, saying that Pakistan’s response showed strong situational awareness and professional handling under intense pressure.

These remarks add to earlier reports from international sources that have highlighted India’s difficulties during the aerial confrontation. The latest comments once again point toward pilot performance and decision-making as the main reasons behind India’s losses, instead of any fault in the aircraft itself.
