TOBA TEK SINGH: A superintendent and two invigilators have been suspended and an inquiry has been initiated against them for allegedly aiding candidates in cheating during the matriculation examination at the Khurrianwala Government Girls Higher Secondary School.
According to details, candidates were found cheating and copying from paper slips while also helping other candidates at the examination center with the connivance of the examination staff.
In the CCTV footage received by the board officials, a student was seen asking another candidate sitting behind him to write the answer and another student sitting next to him was seen writing by looking at the slip hidden under his answer sheet. In the footage, the invigilator of the examination center could be seen passing by the said students.
On the Faisalabad BISE Controller of Examinations’ report, Education CEO Abdul Karim suspended examination center’s superintendent Rizwana Maqbool and two invigilators, Farzana and Atiya, for facilitating copying, while an inquiry had also been initiated against them under the Peeda Act.
DISMISSED: The Gulberg police SHO has been dismissed from service by Faisalabad RPO Suhail Akhtar Sukhera for alleged corruption and abuse of power.
According to a notification issued by the RPO, a resident of Sheikhupura, Allah Ditta, complained that the management of Saeed Autos was supposed to pay him Rs1 million but they only paid Rs400,000 and refused to pay the remaining amount.
He claimed that when he demanded the remaining amount, SHO Mosaddiq Riaz threatened him and forced him to write a stamp paper stating that no money was owed.
It said that SP Iqbal Town found the SHO guilty in the inquiry, upon which he was dismissed from service.
The notification said that the SHO had defamed the department by becoming a facilitator for the auto dealer.
