UAE announces Sept.15 as holiday for Prophet Muhammad’s birthday

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced that Sunday (Sept.15, 2024) will be a public holiday for federal government employees to mark the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)
The FAHR has issued circular to all federal ministries and entities, regarding the holiday of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday in the federal government for the year 1446 AH.
In accordance with the Cabinet’s decision regarding the official holiday calendar for the government and private sectors in the UAE for the year 2024, the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday holiday has been designated as occurring on Sunday, Sept.15, 2024.
The Authority extends its congratulations to the leadership, government, and people of the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations, and offers its prayers for their continued health and well-being.
