Bangladesh has simplified its visa application process for Pakistanis, now allowing them to apply online. This move comes as Dhaka relaxes its visa policies for Pakistan, marking a step forward in fostering stronger ties between the two nations.

During a visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Bangladesh Ambassador to Pakistan, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, highlighted the importance of building friendly relations. He emphasized that increased collaboration between Pakistan and Bangladesh is vital for mutual progress and prosperity.

The ambassador also pointed out the significant role organizations like LCCI can play in boosting bilateral trade. He called for enhanced economic and financial partnerships to unlock potential opportunities between Islamabad and Dhaka.

This initiative coincides with improving relations between the two countries under the interim Bangladeshi government led by Professor Muhammad Yunus. The government, which took over after Sheikh Hasina’s administration, has expressed a commitment to strengthening regional cooperation.

The online visa facility is expected to encourage more Pakistanis to visit Bangladesh, further enhancing cultural and economic exchanges. This development marks a new chapter in the relationship between the two South Asian nations.
