University of Engineering and Technology Taxila Announces Job Opportunities in Pakistan

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila has opened its doors for qualified individuals to apply for various positions under a Higher Education Commission (HEC)-funded project and administrative roles. HEC-Funded Project Positions

UET Taxila invites applications for two key roles under the HEC-approved project titled “Rapid Prototyping and Tooling Technology to Assist the Development of Low-Cost Dies” (NRPU Project Number 20-17013). These positions are on a project basis, with no provision for regular appointment.

1. Research Associate (Equivalent to Assistant Professor)

• Number of Posts: 1
• Pay Package: Rs. 130,000 per month
• Duration: 8 months
• Eligibility:
  • PhD in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Age Limit: Up to 35 years.

2. Short-Term Support Staff

• Number of Posts: 1
• Pay Package: Rs. 25,000 per month
• Duration: 12 months
• Eligibility:
  • DAE in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Mechatronics from a government-recognized institution.
  • Strong skills in reading, writing, and publishing research articles, along with effective communication and project management skills.
  • Age Limit: Up to 35 years.

Application Process for Project Positions

Administrative Positions

In addition to the project-based roles, UET Taxila is hiring for three administrative positions on a tenure basis. These positions offer a fixed term of five years.

1. Registrar (BPS-20)

• Eligibility:
  • Master’s degree or B.Sc. in Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • At least 15 years of teaching, administrative, or professional experience in BPS-17 and above, with a minimum of 5 years in BPS-18 or equivalent.
• Age Limit: 40–50 years.

2. Treasurer (BPS-20)

• Eligibility:
  • CA, ACMA, MBA (Finance), M.Com, or MA (Economics) from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • At least 15 years of experience in auditing or accounts in BPS-17 and above, with a minimum of 5 years in BPS-18 or equivalent.
• Age Limit: 40–50 years.

3. Controller of Examinations (BPS-20)

• Eligibility:
  • Master’s degree or B.Sc. in Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • At least 15 years of teaching, administrative, or professional experience in BPS-17 and above, with a minimum of 5 years in BPS-18 or equivalent.
• Age Limit: 40–50 years.

Application Process for Administrative Positions

• Submit applications to the RAI Cell at UET Taxila.
• Include attested copies of educational testimonials, CNIC, a valid PEC registration card (for engineering degrees), and a recent photograph.
• A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 2,000 must be paid in favor of the Treasurer, UET Taxila.
• Deadline for Applications: December 27, 2024.

General Guidelines for All Applicants

1. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for tests or interviews.
2. Incomplete Applications: Applications lacking required documents or submitted after the due date will not be considered.
3. NOC Requirement: Candidates already in government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department.
